Kia ora,

I’m excited to join the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) in the role of Chief Transformation Officer to help deliver the Fit for a Better World (FFBW) strategy.

My focus will be on working with the industry to help drive the strategy in its 3 key areas of productivity, sustainability, and inclusiveness.

There’s a range of great projects we’re already working together on, but there is more to do to help lift value for the sector and achieve FFBW’s goals.

In my previous role as General Manager, Responsible Dairy, covering environmental issues (water, climate change, biodiversity), animal welfare, biosecurity, and workforce issues, I learnt a lot about the challenges and opportunities for the primary sector.

Part of my task now is to extend that knowledge and learn more from people across the primary sector about the key areas for innovation and growth.

There will be external events and workshops to discuss our FFBW programme, which will be a good opportunity to share ideas. We will be in touch with more details as we set the programme for the year. Please keep an eye out for the FFBW newsletter for updates and information about what is happening.

Feel free to contact me at jenny.cameron@mpi.govt.nz so we can arrange a time to catch up.
